STUDENT PC'S LETTER TO SITE VISITORS!

I, along with my staff, want to thank all the individuals and companies, that have helped in any way to help our program grow. We have been truly blessed with donations of systems and components.  2005 was a fabulous year for us at Student PC's. We can now see a brighter future for many children in our great country. With our continuing growth, we are always in need of various items to fill the variety of needs of the children, we deliver our gifts to. These needs are ongoing. We will try to update the needs page as often as we can keeping it as current as we possibably can. In the 6 years Student PC's has been in existence, 1,200 computer systems has been given to children in need. In 2005, our best year yet, 654 systems have been given to the children, and due to this enormous growth, it has created some unexpected situations for us. Due to the growth of the program, the cost of gas for local deliveries and the cost of UPS and FEDEX to ship our systems out of state( when we can't personally deliver them), our applications have backed up and now an applicant can expect to wait approximately six months for delivery of a system. We appoligize for this. Due to these situations, we would  like to appeal to all of you who have been so faithful to help us and anyone else who would like to help us make a child's day a little brighter, for help in two areas of need. First of all, spread the word about our program in your area to all handicapped children. Make sure an application is received, filled out and returned to us. That was the fairly easy part. Now, the biggest problem, we need everyone who can to reach in your heart and pocket and help with funds, to help cover the cost of delivery. This is one of our biggest expenses. An average system cost 80 .00 - 100.00 to ship out of state. We work endless hours to create funds wherever we can, but currently our expense funds are very low. We do a lot of recycling to create funds, however, that covers only 20% of our expenses each month. As we grow, our expenses grow. We can really use your help to keep our program alive and growing. We never charge for our systems or any service to them. They are our gift to a brighter future, even if it is only one gift at a time. I battle each month to pay my basic bills on my retirement income, but my promise to you is, to never take a cent from program funds to cover my personal expenses, and no disabled child will ever be denied a system as long as Student PC's is in existence. My program will never be a profiting program as long as my name is associated with it and all of my staff is strictly volunteers wanting to make a difference too. Now, we make our plea to you, to go to the contact page of this site and please make a donation to help keep Student PC's growing, but most of all help us  MAKE A DIFFERENCE ONE GIFT AT A TIME.

With respect to all,

Dwight D. Ross and Staff
